Ringsted Man Jailed On Drug & Weapons Charges

November 22, 2014

(Ringsted)– A Ringsted man is in jail on drug and weapons charges as the result of a search warrant executed late last week on his residence.

The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says 43-year-old Sam Origer has been charged with possession of marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor; and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon…a class “D” felony.

Origer is being held in the Emmet county jail on bond of nearly 10-thousand dollars.

Authorities say the execution of a search warrant at Origer’s residence at 17 east 240th Street in Ringsted turned up marijuana, drug parpahernalia and a rifle.

The search was conducted around 9:00 p.m. Friday.
