(Armstrong)– A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Tuesday for a housing incentive program in Armstrong.
Mayor Jerry Steinberger says the city will start taking purchase offers on 23 lots along a golf course at 8:00 a.m. August 21st.
The lots range in size from 14-thousand to 15-thousand square feet with utility hookups. Steinberger says curbs and gutters will be installed next spring…followed by street paving.
He says the cost of the lot improvements have been included in the minimum purchase of slightly more than a dollar per square foot. Potential buyers will be required to provide a 10 percent deposit upon submitting written offers.
Steinberger says the program represents the next stage of a nearly decade long project to bring additional housing to Armstrong.
