(Spirit Lake)– A ribbon cutting ceremony was held this (Fri.) afternoon for the new addition at the Spirit Lake Middle School.
Superintendent Tim Grieves thanked the voters of Dickinson county for passing the local option sales tax for schools, which helped fund the project, along with a federal grant.
The new facility includes two state-of-the-art science classrooms, a huge art room, foreign language classroom, new lockers and two more classrooms to be completed at a later date.
The ceremony included a power point presentation of the project along with comments from the administration, school board, students and staff. The Middle School band performed and tours were given of the facility.
