Results Of Terril School Sharing Survey Are Inconclusive

November 23, 2014

(Terril)– The results of a survey of patrons of the Terril School district on sharing options are inconclusive. That word from steering committee Chairman Steve Hanson. Hanson told KUOO news there are still about 30 surveys that haven’t been turned in. He says they’ll try to track those down and a further review of the results will be forthcoming.

Hanson says the committee is closely studying an arrangement in Diagonal, Iowa where high school students attend a neighboring school for core classes during part of the day. Under that arrangement, Hanson says they’d still be able to keep a K-12 school in Terril; something the committee feels must be done.

Hanson says the committee still hasn’t set a date to make a final recommendation to the school board.

A date for the committee’s next meeting hasn’t been set.
