(Sherburn, Mn.)– Residents of Sherburn, Minnesota are being told to take some extra precautions after city officials say coyotes were seen within city limits.
They say all pets should be supervised and kept on a leash when outdoors, especially in the early morning and evening hours. Residents are also encouraged not to leave pet food, garbage and other food items outdoors and to be alert when walking or using local trails and parks.
They say that if you DO happen to see a coyote, to remain calm, give it space and do not approach it or try to feed it.
They add there is no immediate danger to the public, however officials are continuing to monitor the situation.
