Report Of Suspicious Vehicle In Cemetery Results In Drug Charges

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A report of a suspicious vehicle in a Clay county cemetery has led to the arrests of four teens on drug charges.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it received the complaint around 8:00 p.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery. Upon arriving, deputies located a 1998 Ford van at the scene.

Upon investigating, authorities discovered Matthew Mason, Anthony Paulson, Cody Millard and a 16-year-old juvenile female were smoking what’s alleged to be marijuana.

Mason, Paulson and Millard are 19 years of age and from Spencer; along with the female juvenile. All four were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Millard and the juvenile were additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; and an additional charge of operating while intoxicated was filed against Mason.

The three males were booked into the Clay county jail; the female juvenile was released to the custody of her parents.
