(Emmetsburg)– A Roman Catholic Priest in the Sioux City Diocese has pleaded guilty to placing obscene photos in the men’s locker room at the Smith Wellness Center in Emmetsburg.
Emmetsburg police say the Reverend Bruce LeFebvre left the photos where minors could see them.
LeFebvre has been placed on probation and will be listed on the state sex offender registry. He must also complete additional counseling, cannot use a computer and must stay away from children.
Jim Wharton, a spokesman for the Sioux City Diocese, says LeFebvre has already spent several months in treatment for sexual offenders.
Police say they found obscene images in LeFebvre’s computer that enabled them to connect him to the pictures left in the locker room.
