(Fort Dodge)– The Superintendent of the Webster City Community Schools has been hired as the Chief Administrator of the Prairie Lakes Area Education Agency.
Dr. Kay Forsythe will assume her new duties July 1st of this year, when the retirement of current Administrator Bill Garner becomes effective.
The three-year contract for Forsythe has a salary of 130-thousand dollars a year with administrative benefits.
Forsythe has been with the Webster City school system since 1996 serving as Middle School and High School Principal. She has been Superintendent of that district since 2002.
Forsythe also has experience as a professor with Iowa State University and Drake University; served as an educational consultant with a neighboring area education agency and was a teacher in special education and general education.
