(Lake Park)– A power outage is planned for Lake Park…but chances are not many will notice as it will take place in the very early morning on April 10th.
Lake Park Municipal Utilities has completed the installation of two new generators at its electric plant. Now, spokesman Eric Stoll says they need to test them out with what’s known as a “black start test”. To do that, Stoll says they’ll need to shut off the power to all Lake Park Municipal Utility electric customers prior to turning the generators on. Stoll says the process should take about 15 minutes.
The outage is scheduled for 3:00 a.m. Sunday, April 10th.
