(Spencer)– A pot bust in Spencer has resulted in charges being filed against three people.
Police say a bike patrol officer was making a pass through a city parking lot in the 400 block of first avenue east this morning when he noticed a vehicle with a window broken out of it. Police then found the owner of the car, 26-year-old Bret Mitchell Seivert of Chico, California. Upon examining the vehicle, officers discovered a small amount of marijuana in the passenger compartment and trunk…along with items used to distribute marijuana.
The investigation took officers to an apartment on east fifth street in Spencer where a search warrant was executed…resulting in the seizure of about two pounds of marijuana. Seivert and another man, 24-year-old Kevin Dean Mulder of Chico, California were charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and drug tax stamp violations. Both are class “D” felonies. 24-year-old Nate Conlon, a resident of the apartment, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana.
Seivert and Mulder remain in the Clay county jail on bond of 19,500-dollars each. Conlon was released on a citation.
