Police Officer In School

This year a police officer will spend a half day a week inside the Spirit Lake High School. Chief John Martyr says its part of an ongoing effort to keep the police force in touch with the public. Officer Brian Stahl has recently been promoted to the rank of Detective and will be wearing street clothes – not a uniform – when he visits school. Stahl also intends to be on hand at special events like dances and games at the Spirit Lake High School.
