(Plymouth, Mn.)– A strong earnings report for Polaris Industries.
The company is reporting a 16 percent increase in earnings. Officials attribute the growth to strong sales of all-terrain vehicles and parts, clothing and accessories.
Earnings for the quarter that ended June 30th amounted to 19-point-nine million dollars…or 83 cents a share. That’s up from 17-point-one million dollars, or 72 cents a share, in the first quarter of last year.
The company posted record sales of 362-point-six million dollars…up two percent from last year.
Tom Miller is President and Chief Executive Officer for Polaris Industries. He says the company continues to benefit from new products…including its Ranger utility vehicles and Victory motorcycles. Tiller says motorcycle sales so far this year are up 32 percent over the first half of last year, and retail sales of motorcycles to consumers have gone up by almost 80 percent.
