(Medina, Mn.)– Polaris Industries has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract to produce all-terrain vehicles.
Minnesota U-S Senator Norm Coleman says the 10-point-three million dollar contract was awarded to Polaris to produce modified A-T-V’s. They’ll be specially designed to traverse rough terrain in Iraq and Afghanistan.
This isn’t the first time Polaris has done work for the defense department. The company provided snowmobiles in 1958 for an Air Force mission in the arctic.
Polaris Industries is headquartered in Medina, Minnesota. The company operates a facility in Spirit Lake that manufactures personal watercraft, all-terrain vehicles and Victory Motorcycles.
