(Arnolds Park)– The city of Arnolds Park is calling on its residents for donations of photos, newspaper clippings and other memorabilia for the city’s new war memorial.
The memorial is being rebuilt and relocated to the north side of the Okoboji Cemetery.
Walker says a landscape architect on the project is looking for photos, newspaper clippings and other memorabilia paying tribute to local veterans.
Walker says the items will be electronically scanned for some collages that will be imprinted on aluminum plates on the back of the memorial.
The items should be dropped off at Arnolds Park City Hall by Friday, June 4th. The items will be returned to the respective owner once they’ve been electronically reproduced.
