(Paullina)– A northwest Iowa fire department has landed a sizable grant through the U-S Department of Homeland Security.
The Paullina Fire Department is one of 11 in the state that will share in 735-thousand dollars.
Paullina was awarded 33-thousand dollars.
The money will be used for firefighter health and safety programs, to enhance medical services programs, conduct fire prevention and safety programs and to purchase firefighting equipment.
