(Spirit Lake)– An overheated ballast in a fluorescent light has been sited as the probable source of smoke that caused some excitement this (Mon.) morning at a Spirit Lake business.
Assistant Spirit Lake Fire Chief Joe Jennings, Senior says firefighters were called to Forbes Meats and Liquor Locker on Highway 71 south in Spirit Lake around 9:30 a.m. on a report of smoke.
Jennings says there was no actual fire, and the store remains open for business.
Firefighters were on the scene about half-hour.
