Over 100,000 Attend First Two Days Of Clay County Fair

(Spencer)– Official figures show more than 100-thousand people attended the first two days of the Clay County Fair in Spencer.

Fair officials say 102,051 people went through the gates this past weekend. Specifically, 48,263 attended Saturday…the first day of the fair; while 53,788 went through the gates Sunday.

Today (Monday) is Veteran’s Day at the fair with free admission to veterans of the armed forces. Tuesday is Farm Bureau and Seniors Day with $3.50 admission for persons 65 and older; Wednesday is Disabilities Awareness Day; Spirit of America and Seniors Day will be observed on Thursday; Kid’s Day is Friday; Carnival Wristband Day is Saturday; and “after five” day will be Sunday, September 14th, final day of the fair.
