Osceola County Crash Injures Two

November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– A two-vehicle collision Saturday in Osceola county sent two people to the hospital.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 35-year-old Terry Debey of Rock Valley was southbound on Highway 60 and 78-year-old Edward Dagel of Sibely was northbound and had stopped to make a left-hand turn onto a county road. Authorities say Dagel didn’t see Debey’s vehicle approaching before entering the intersection, resulting in a collision.

Edward Dagel and a passenger in his vehicle, 76-year-old Betty Dagel of Sibley, were both transported by the Sibley ambulance to the Osceola Community Hospital where they were treated for possible injuries.

Six thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Debey; a 1997 Buick Park Avenue driven by Dagel sustained an estimated three thousand dollars in damage.

Dagel was cited for failure to yield.

The collision was reported to authorities around 11:30 a.m.
