Organizers Of Iowa Water Conference Hoping To Gain Attention Of State Lawmakers

September 15, 2026

(Arnolds Park)– Organizers of this year’s Iowa Water Conference coming up later this week in the Iowa Great Lakes are hoping the messages that will be delivered there wind up in the ears of state lawmakers.

Steve Wiseman, a local outdoors enthusiast, says the event has taken a renewed importance this year given what’s been in the news about the state’s water quality and cancer rates…

As we reported previously this year’s Iowa Water Conference will be held Wednesday and Thursday at The Roof Garden and Pavilion in the Arnolds Park. There will be an opportunity for the general public to give input and comment on Thursday afternoon at Maser Monarch Lodge, just west of the Dickinson County Nature Center in Okoboji.
