One Of Two Escapees Re-Captured In Cherokee County

November 23, 2014

(Cherokee)– One of the two inmates who escaped from the Cherokee county jail is back in custody.

22-year-old Adam Mathison of Sioux City was found shortly after 10:00 this morning…still in the county…and was taken back into custody without incident.

Still at-large is 34-year-old Andrew James Ricker of Sioux City. He’s described as a white male, six feet four inches tall, 180 pounds with blue eyes and blondish-red hair. He was being held on burglary charges on a bond of 97 hundred 50 dollars.

Mathis is being held on a federal warrant for the U-S Marshall’s Office.

The two were reported missing around 10:00 p.m. Monday.
