(Arnolds Park)– Three family musicals, three adult comedies, a mystery spoof and a couple of contemporary performances are among the productions scheduled for the upcoming season at the Okoboji Summer Theatre.
The Okoboji Summer Theatre, operated by Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, announced it’s schedule Saturday as it does each year during the University of Okoboji Winter Games.
The season opens June 21st with the family musical “Dames at Sea”; “The Miss Firecracker Contest”, an adult comedy, takes the stage June 28th. A mystery spoof titled “The Butler Did It Again” will be performed the week of July 5th; “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn”…a family musical…will be presented July 12th; “London Suite”, an adult comedy, takes the OST stage July 19th; a comedy titled “Never Too Late” will be performed the week of July 26th; “An American Daughter”, a contemporary production, opens August 2nd; another contemporary production titled “Visiting Mr. Green” takes the stage August 9th; and the season concludes with the family musical classic “The Music Man” August 16th through the 21st.
Tickets for non-musicals for the upcoming season will be 13-dollars each; musicals will be 15-dollars each. Discount booklets are 100-dollars for nine vouchers and may be purchased at First Bank and Trust in Spirit Lake.
The O-S-T boxoffice opens for the season June 13th.
