Okoboji School Board Lays Groundwork For Superintendent Search

November 23, 2014

(Milford)– The Okoboji school board met in special session over the noon hour Wednesday to start laying groundwork in the search for a new superintendent.

Schoolboard President Dr. Kurt Eckard says the board heard from a representative of a consulting firm on what they would have to offer for services.

Eckard says no action was taken. He says the board will talk about the possibility of interviewing more consultants at their meeting next month.

Eckard says they hope to have a list of candidates narrowed down shortly after the first of the year. He says interviews would probably start in November and continue through January, with a new superintendent hired in February or early March.

Quentin Reifenrath, the present Superintendent at Okoboji, will be retiring at the end of this school year.
