Okoboji P & Z To Review “Home Occupied” Businesses

November 22, 2014

(Okoboji)– The city of Okoboji is reviewing a portion of its zoning ordinance that pertains to businesses that are operated out of homes.

City Administrator Dennis Daly says the city council and Planning and Zoning Commission are looking at new definitions for home occupied businesses.

Daly says there’s a possibility of tighter restrictions being placed on such operations due to complaints that have been received. He says most of them have to do with parking issues.

Daly says the Planning and Zoning Commission is expected to have a recommendation ready for the council shortly after the first of the year.
