Okoboji Holds Off On Annexation Plans

(Okoboji)– The Okoboji City Council Tuesday decided to postpone a public hearing to annex some land just north of the city’s current boundary along the east side of Highway 71.

The council made the decision after hearing concerns from some residents who said they want to remain in the county for now, atleast.

While the council decided not to hold any public hearings on the possible annexation for now, the city will be getting cost estimates on extending infrastructure to the area.
