Okoboji Foundation Awarded $40,000 Grant To Partner With Corridor For Entrepreneurial Program

November 22, 2014

(Okoboji)—The Okoboji Foundation has been awarded a $40,000 grant for its Iowa Microenterprise Assistance Project through the Community Foundation of Great Des Moines’ Northwest Area Fund.

Mary Freiborg of the Okoboji Foundation says the grant will allow them to form a partnership between the foundation and the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation to provide a long-term resource for growth of entrepreneurship programs and services in the Corridor region.

She says it will also promote growth of new existing endowments within the Okoboji Foundation family of funds.

Kathy Evert, CEO of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation, says the new partnership will help them build a model regional approach for entrepreneurial and economic development in Iowa.
