(Undated)– The Fourth of July fireworks display over West Lake Okoboji is getting some national recognition.
An article on the FOX News website mentions the Okoboji display as among the best in the nation according to an informal survey conducted by a reporter.
The Okoboji display was one of 68 nominations received from 27 states.
Whether or not a certain display made the list depended on several factors, including what makes the display special, whether or not it has a special backdrop; and any special activities that are going on in conjunction with the display…or in the case of the Okoboji display, the patriotic music that accompanies it on KUOO.
The Okoboji display is listed among those held in places like Philadelphia, Epcot at Walt Disney World, and over the Hudson Bay in New York…among others.
