(Milford)– High honors for some Okoboji High School musicians.
Okoboji High School Jazz Band One placed second in Class 2-A in the University of Northern Iowa’s Tall Corn Jazz Festival held this past Saturday.
Woodward Granger was first and Roland-Story City was third.
Outstanding soloist awards for Okoboji went to Jessica Lambertson on baritone sax; Colin Dickson on trumpet; Stephanie Wahlman on vibes; Rob Mayer on trombone and Scott Rohlfsen on drums.
Okoboji High School and Middle School Jazz Bands will present their annual “Evening of Jazz” Friday, March 4th at 7:30 p.m. at the Okoboji High School Auditorium. Admission is be free-will offering.
OHS Jazz Band One will also be performing at the Iowa Jazz Championships Tuesday, April 5th.
