Officials Continue To Assess Storm Damage

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– As the clean-up continues from Saturday night’s fierce storm, officials say it’s still a bit early to come up with a dollar figure on the damage.

Dickinson County Emergency Management Coordinator Mike Ehret says as of right now, no formal requests for assistance have been made either on the state or federal level. But he says he remains in constant communication with state officials keeping them up to date on the status of the clean up. Ehret says he’s visited with county and city officials and so far none have made a formal request for state assistance with things such as equipment and so on.

Ehret says the utility companies, cities and the county continue to assess and tabulate the damage as the cleanup progresses.
