(Windom, Mn.)– A 30-year-old Odin, Minnesota man was charged today (Monday) in connection with last Friday’s fatal shooting of another Odin man at a Mountain Lake, Minnesota business.
Douglas Saunders was charged with second degree murder in the death of 57-year-old Howard Hockel, also of Odin.
Authorities say Saunders entered Fast Distributing in Mountain Lake Friday, where he worked, and shot Hockel twice with a gun–once in the face and once in the hip.
Authorities say Hockel and Saunders farmed together and apparently had a bad relationship…something Hockel’s family denies.
