November 22, 2014

(Sheldon)– O’Brien county authorities are investigating three reports of vandalism that took place north of Sheldon during the overnight hours of August 24th or in the early morning of August 25th.

The Sheriff’s Office says equipment at two road construction sites was damaged. In addition, trees, a mailbox and a cornfield was damaged at a nearby hog confinement. Damage at the three sites is estimated at several thousand dollars.

The owner of the road construction equipment, C.J. Mouna and Sons, is offering a 2,500-dollar reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of whoever’s responsible for the damage to their equipment.

Anyone with information should contact the O’Brien County Sheriff’s office.
