O’Brien Co. Traffic Stop Leads To Numerous Arrests

November 22, 2014

(Sanborn)– A traffic stop in O’Brien county has led to the arrest of five people on various charges.

The Sheriff’s Office says it all stems from a traffic stop at 7:15 p.m. Monday in which 18-year-old Luke Klonglan of Sanborn was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of carrying weapons, no proof of insurance and speeding. He was booked into the O’Brien county jail on two thousand dollars cash bond.

Authorities say that arrest led to the execution of a search warrant at Klonglan’s residence at 501 Walker Street in Sanborn. It resulted in the arrests of 20-year-old Jessica Shaffer, 24-year-old Michael Meeker, 20-year-old Joshua Mortvedt and 30-year-old Jamison White. All four were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. They were booked into the O’Brien county jail on cash bond of one thousand dollars each. In addition, White was charged with keeping a vicious dog.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Sanborn and Hartley Police Departments.
