(Spencer)– The Northwest Iowa Planning and Development Commission has been awarded 61-thousand dollars in federal funding.
The money is to be used to establish an economic development planning network, process and strategy that supports private capital investment and job creation.
The funding is coming from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration, which awarded six grants totaling $367,000 to Iowa economic development agencies.
The Northwest Iowa Planning and Development Commission serves Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto and Sioux counties.
