November Municipal Elections

The filing period for Municipal Elections coming up this November officially opens today (8/25). In Arnolds Park, city council positions held by Susan Munsen and Jason Christensen will be up for election; council seats held by Jeff Rolfes and Duane Glover will be on the ballot.
Two council seats and a Park board position will be up for election in Milford. The council seats are currently held by Lyn Johnson and Detlef Ball; Tim Bradly’s term on the board will be up for election.
Council positions held by Jim Delperdang and Les Marousek will be up for election in Okoboji; in Orleans, council seats held by Jamie Rickman and Walt Mier will be on the ballot.
Three city council seats will be up for election in Spirit Lake. Those seats are currently held by Bob Cosens, Pat McNorton and Terry Yarns. In Superior, council seats held by Larry Kelly and Michael Roach will be on the ballot; In Terril, Lyman Baily and Debra Nelson’s council positions will be up for election.
Two council seats will be up for election in Wahpeton. They are currently held by Bradly Jones and Jim Manzer.
And in West Okoboji, council seats currently held by Orville Berg, Marcia Petersen, and Larry Traughber will be up for election. In addition, all the Mayoral positions will be on the ballot. The deadline to file is September 18th.
