(Wahpeton)– No new developments early this (Thurs.) morning in the search for 12-year-old Colin Helmers of Estherville who was on board a barge that sank Saturday on West Lake Okoboji.
Crews from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team continued to use some high-tech sonar equipment to scan the lake last (Wed.) night after diving operations were suspended for the night due to darkness.
Search operations are resuming today.
A funeral service for 31-year-old Matthew Molecek of Wallingford, who was also on the barge, will be held this (Thurs.) morning at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Estherville.
