(Sioux City)– Six people are facing federal drug charges in connection with a meth lab bust in Spencer in 2001.
U-S Attorney Chuck Larson says an indictment was filed this week in U-S District Court in Sioux City. It lists 21-year-old Jason Marlow of Spencer, 24-year-old Gale Means of Spencer, 21-year-old Brandy Leggio of Sioux Rapids, 21-year-old Kathy Jo Tuttle of Rembrandt, 20-year-old Travis Woods of Sheldon and 21-year-old Bruce Legear of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. All have been charged with conspiracy to manufacture pure methamphetamine within a thousand feet of a school and to employ or use a person under the age of 18 to manufacture meth.
The charges stem from a meth lab bust at 119 East First Street in Spencer in August of 2001.
All six defendants face a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a two million dollar fine. They’ll stand trial May 5th in Sioux City.
