(Okoboji)– Some northwest Iowa rock-and-roll entertainers are coming together to perform a benefit for 58-year-old Karla Lind of Milford who’s recovering from a near-fatal bout with congestive heart failure.
John Sinn of the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association says the concert will be held Sunday, November 21st from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. in the Lakeview Ballroom of the Inn of Okoboji. Sinn says music will be provided by a number of regional bands and singers including Terry Kline, the Mosquito Flats, the Fortunes, D.J.s and the Runaways, Daybreak, and B.B. and The Bullfrogs.
Admission will be by freewill donation with all proceeds going to help defray medical expenses encumbered by the Linds.
In addition to the music, Sinn says there will also be a silent auction and bake sale. Anyone wishing to donate items for the bake sale may drop them off at Calvary United Methodist Church in Arnolds Park on Saturday, November 20th.
A benefit fund for Karla Lind has been set up at Farmers Savings Bank in Milford. Donations may also be mailed to the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association at P.O. Box 557, Arnolds Park…51331.
