(Worthington, MN)– A Southwest Minnesota board is saying no to a proposed four-billion-dollar data center.
The Nobles County Board of Commissioners board voted three to two to prevent data centers from being built in agricultural preservation zoning districts.
Geronimo Power’s CEO says the company is looking at alternative options in other communities.
The four-billion-dollar project by Geronimo was hoping to break ground in 2027.
