(Spirit Lake)– No injuries were reported in a house fire Sunday in Spirit Lake.
Fire Chief Wally Jorgenson says firefighters were called to 505 20th Street shortly after 1:30 p.m.
Jorgenson says the fire had been burning in a bedroom on the upper floor of the home. He says the occupants had pretty much knocked it down with a fire extinguisher when firefighters arrived.
Jorgenson says the fire was contained to the one room, but the entire house had to be ventilated of smoke.
Jorgenson says it appears the fire was the result of a candle that ignited some combustible items on a dresser.
Firefighters were there about a half-hour.
