No Injuries Reported In Early Morning House Fire

(Spirit Lake)– No injuries were reported in a house fire early this (Monday) morning in Spirit Lake.

Fire Chief Wally Jorgenson says firefighters were called to the Ernest and Carol Cupp residence at 2306 Denver Avenue around 1:00 a.m. Upon arriving he says smoke could be seen coming from the attic. Firefighters were able to quickly douse the fire after removing some insulation. Jorgenson says the fire was contained to the attic, with a little smoke damage to the lower level of the home.

Jorgenson says the cause is under investigation.

The Cupps were home at the time and managed to get out injurred.

The Spirit Lake Fire Department was on the scene about two hours.
