(Spirit Lake)– No injuries were reported in a mishap this (Tues.) morning involving a school bus and a pickup in Spirit Lake.
Police say a Spirit Lake Community School bus driven by 61-year-old Norman Magg of Spirit Lake was pulling onto highways nine and 71 from 252nd Avenue when he collided with a pickup driven by 45-year-old Sherry Kukes of Spirit Lake who was westbound on Highways nine and 71.
A thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the school bus with two thousand dollars in damage estimated to a 1986 GMC pickup driven by Kukes.
Magg was charged with failure to yield from a stop sign.
The mishap took place shortly before 8:00 this morning, blocking three lanes of traffic for a short time.
Spirit Lake police were assisted by the Arnolds Park and Okoboji Police Departments.
Again, no injuries were reported.
