Dickinson County Supervisors Hire Engineering Firm To Oversee Certain Aspects Of Proposed Pipeline Project

October 05, 2021 Steve Schwaller

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously this (Tues.) morning to hire Beck Engineering to oversee ag-related matters pertaining to the construction of a liquid carbon dioxide pipeline proposed to run through the eastern portion of the county. One other firm had expressed interest, and in recent days, a third engineering firm had also stepped forward. However that firm missed out on a timeline for submitting a proposal. Supervisor Steve Clark said even though he doesn’t have land involved himself, that he’s going to treat the matter as if he does…

“I’m not going to let anybody alone if I don’t think they’re doing the job right. I’m going to keep after them until it’s done.”

The engineering will be paid for by the pipeline company, with the county serving as a pass-through for billing.
