(Spencer)– Officials with the Clay County Fair announced a little before noon today (Fri.) the Blue Ribbon Showdown at the Grandstand this (Fri.) evening has been cancelled due to unsafe track conditions and the weather forecast.
A statement issued by the fair says the safety of participants, officials, staff and fans is the top priority, and that after assessing track conditions and the forecast, the difficult decision was made to cancel tonight’s (Fri.) event.
Fans who purchased tickets with a credit card will automatically receive a full refund to the card used for purchase. 5-7 days should be allowed for the refund to appear. Those who purchased tickets with cash or check may receive their refund by stopping into the Clay County Fair Administration Office located in the Events Center, by Friday, October 9th, 2026. Have your order information ready when requesting your refund.
