November 23, 2014

About 57 new jobs are coming to the Northwest Iowa town of Cherokee. The State has opened a new center for dangerous sexual predators and repeat sex offenders in the town of 53-hundred. Mark Buschkamp is the Executive Director of the Cherokee Area Economic Development Group. He says the facility will provide a boost to the local economy and will bring much needed jobs. The 60 or so jobs will pay in the range of 30-thousand and 40-thousand per year. The first group of sex offenders moved into the unit this past week.
