(Wahpeton)– There’s a new face on the Wahpeton city council.
The council voted recently to approve the appointment of Tom Rierson to a seat that was vacated recently with the resignation of Phil Johnson, who moved to Lake Park.
Rierson will fill the remainder of Johnson’s term, which expires in 2005.
Rierson served previously on Wahpeton’s Planning and Zoning Commission. His appointment to the city council means there’s now a vacancy on the P & Z. Anyone interested in filling the position should contact the Wahpeton city hall.
