(Spirit Lake)– One person was injured Monday evening when a motorcycle collided with a deer in Spirit Lake.
Police say 38-year-old Brett Heaton was southbound on highway 71 just south of 35th street in Spirit Lake when he collided with a deer.
A passenger on the bike, 36-year-old Kala Fritz of Spirit Lake, was taken by ambulance to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. No injuries were reported to Heaton.
Damage to the motorcycle was estimated at five hundred dollars.
The mishap took place shortly before 9:00 p.m.
