(Estherville)– Budget cuts were a topic of discussion at last night’s Iowa Lakes Community College Board of Trustees meeting.
The college is being asked to trim an additional 523-thousand dollars from its budget…on top of the 254-thousand dollars cut approved in the last legislative session.
College President Jim Billings said he has met with top administrators and asked for reductions in their budgets. Billings told the trustees out-of-state travel and equipment will see the biggest cutbacks. He said it’s important the college try to make the cuts without raising tuition and fees.
