(Sibley)– Minor injuries were reported in a rear-end-type collision Friday in the Highway 60 construction zone about two-point-two miles south of Ashton.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says Frederick Anderson of Buffalo, Minnesota had stopped for a flagman. Benjamin Kamp of Orange City was also southbound and approached the line of stopped vehicles. Authorities say Kamp was watching a vehicle behind him when he struck the rear of the vehicle driven by Anderson.
Kamp was taken by ambulance to Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley where he was treated for minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Kamp was cited for failure to maintain control.
One thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1997 Ford Explorer driven by Anderson with three thousand dollars in damage estimated to a 1991 Toyota Corolla driven by Kamp.
