(Okoboji)– A few tense moments this (Tues.)morning at a lakes area fast food restaurant.
The Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire Department was called to McDonalds in Okoboji around 8:30 a.m. on a report of a frier fire.
Fire Chief Steve Dulin says fire suppression equipment had already pretty much snuffed out the fire, along with help from McDonald’s employees. Dulin says he was very impressed with the amount of training McDonalds staff possessed and how they handled the situation. He says it’s a situation where good training really paid off.
The fire was contained to just the one unit, and no injuries were reported.
Arnolds Park/Okoboji firefighters were on the scene about a half hour.
