(Milford)– Drug charges have been filed against a Milford woman originally wanted on a warrant for failure to appear.
Milford police say they were executing the warrant on 36-year-old Denise Lorenzen of Milford around 2:30 a.m. September 21st at the Okoboji Avenue Inn in Milford when officers spotted packaging materials and precursors to manufacture methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, cash and methamphetamine.
Lorenzen was then charged with possession of a controlled with intent to deliver within a thousand feet of a public park; possession of a controlled substance; possession of precursors; holding gatherings where controlled substances are unlawfully used; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
The Milford Police Department was assisted by the Arnolds Park and Okoboji Police Departments and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
