Milford Municipal Utilities Cut Ribbon On New $26 Million Water Treatment Plant

(Milford)– Officials with Milford Municipal Utilities (MMU) held a ribbon cutting late this (Tuesday) afternoon on a brand new $26 million water treatment facility. Construction on the new plant was completed back in June of this year and it is now in operation. Brad Willemssen, MMU’s General Manager, says it includes the latest technology to enhance the quality of drinking water for their customers in Milford and West Okoboji…

Willemssen adds the new facility is highly automated…

The facility is located just off of County Road A-34, or 13th Street, on the east side of Milford. The general public got a firsthand look during tours of the facility held as part of an open house event Tuesday evening.
